Understanding OneBuddy's Permissions

OneBuddy requests certain Chrome permissions to provide its features. Here's what each permission does and why it's needed.

activeTab: Allows OneBuddy to interact with the current tab when you click the extension icon. Used for ad blocking, privacy blur, and screenshot capture.

storage: Stores your settings, clipboard history, notes, blur regions, and habits locally on your device. Nothing is sent externally.

alarms: Powers the Pomodoro timer, health reminders, and auto-lock timer. Chrome alarms run even when the side panel is closed.

tabs: Enables tab recording, browser lock (hiding tab content), and the bookmark manager functionality.

identity: Used only for Google Calendar integration. Enables OAuth sign-in to access your calendar. This permission is only activated when you explicitly connect your Google Calendar.

All data stays local. OneBuddy does not send any data to external servers. Permissions are used solely to provide the features described above.
